I’m Ana, the writer and creator of Not the Nanny.
I’m an Ecuadorian immigrant married to a Caucasian-American with strong ties to his Croatian-Italian roots.
The name of this blog was born out of the awkward questions I get when I’m out with my three bi-racial kids, especially my pale blue-eyed son. While I find this more amusing than offensive, there are inherent challenges to raising bi-racial and multi-cultural children.
Thankfully, there are also built-in opportunities to raise them to be empathetic and tolerant. I explore all these themes in my blog, as well as provide some advice and hopefully some humor.
